A Twitter campaign is fighting to make sure Paula Abdul returns to American Idol next season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. After her manager said publicly that she might not return to TV's biggest hit as a judge — which she's been since it began in 2002 — fans started the #keepaula group on Twitter. Abdul, meanwhile, thanked them for their support on her own Twitter page: "If it weren't for you, this specific time and situation would feel a lot worse! xoP," she wrote. Her manager, David Sonenberg, has said she's yet to receive a new contract, even though auditions begin Aug. 6 for season 9, which airs in January.

First, this is a negotiating ploy people. Don’t be so naive as to play into their hands. Secondly, most recent season excluded, along with Randy and the atrocious Kara, I think unless they can come up with intelligent and concise criticisms, they need to go. Dawgs, seal claps and songwriters that need to bone up on musical history need not apply.

Paula is the best. She´s the heart of Am Idol. The chemisty between her and Simon is irreplaceable.
I have written to Fox to ask Paula back and give her the raise she asked for and deservs. The other got a big raise. I said I won´t watch Am Idol anymore. They are worried about ratings but getting rid of Paula will make it worse. I hope you write Fox aswell and encourage others to do so too.

Do we really care if she stays or goes? She is a train-wreck that needs either re-hab or intense therapy. I personally think both! Get rid of the has-been!
I love Paula. She is a wonderful person, a star. Beautiful inside and out. I will not watch Idol as much without her.
I agree completely. She is the heart of Am Idol. I have been writing to Fox. Asking them to give Paula the deal she deservs. She shouldn´t make less money because she´s a woman. I hope you do the same and encourage people to do the same and not give up. Let Fox know we don´t except this. With hope she could atleast be on the live shows.
Half the fun of the show is watching to see how loopy Paula is going to be that night. They can’t get rid of her. This is all publicity to keep the show topical through the off-season anyway. We all know that.

I have watched every episode since the very first season in 2002…this show WILL NOT be the same without her..it will not have as many viewers either. I don’t watch American Idol but I’m full in support of Paula Abdul leaving. The production staff obviously can’t handle four judges as shown by shows that have gone over time by almost ten minutes. There are shows on when American Idol ends too you know.

I wrote to Fox, I encourage you and tell others to do the same.I asked them to bring Paula back, to offer her the raise she asked for and deservs. Simon, Randy and Ryan all got big raises. Paula should have the same. I said I won´t watch the show anymore. They are worried about raitings. Without Paula it won´t get better.
I also wrote that the chemistry between her and Simon is irreplaceable.Everything that´s going on between them is funny. When Paula gave Simon coloringbooks, that was great.The bickering and love between them is the biggest reason I love Am Idol. Hopefully she´ll be on the liveshows.
