The first big casting for the third installment of Twilight, titled Eclipse, is unknown Australian actor Xavier Samuel, who has been taped for the role of "newborn vampire" Riley, described as a "good-looking college student who joins the plot of villain Victoria to murder protagonist Bella (Kristen Stewart)." The news was first reported byThe Hollywood Reporter, which says, "Riley is corrupted by Victoria, for whom he has an inexplicable weakness." Samuel, although virtually unknown in the States, has appeared in several Australian movies, but this is his first U.S. role. Eclipse is set to begin shooting next month in Vancouver and is scheduled to be released on June 20, 2010.

I had a chance to see him in the film September. Film wasn’t my cup of tea but he was pretty good in it. Looking forward to seeing him on Eclipse.

Yep Riley is in the book for all of one scene but you know they are just going to rewrite the movie to show more of him. I hate when they make books into movies.
I’m kinda let down. I thought they were looking a Channing Tatum for this?
