Ukraine bans 'Bruno' for immorality

Tags:

According to Reuters, the country of Ukraine has banned Sacha Baron Cohen's Bruno for "artistically unjustified exhibition of sexual organs and sexual relations, homosexual acts in a blatantly graphic form, obscene language, sadism, anti-social behavior which could damage the moral upbringing of our citizens." Nine out of 14 commission members voted for the ban, reports Time.

Meanwhile, Universal Pictures will release a toned-down version of the film in Britain, in hopes of lowering its rating to a teen-friendly 15.

I guess that’s okay, glad I’m not a Ukranian, though. What I don’t like about it one bit, however, is that they added “homo” to the sexual acts clause.
