What?? Ryan Reynolds was the lead in The Proposal. Sandra Bullock was the supporting actor. Ryan Reynolds was the lead in Definitely, Maybe. One of the best movies I have ever seen.

actually – the original comic version of GL was white and named alan scott. the most famous GL was hal jordan…played by reynalds.

the “black” GL was john stewart and was added to the cartoon. there are many GL – they are a police force…

check your info before making this a race issue..there could be many GL movies covering the many (even alien) GLs.

To all the people who say Bradley Cooper should be green lantern let me you this,HE IS NOT A GOOD LEADING ACTOR!!! Tell what movie that he was the leading star in, the hangover does not count because it is ensemble cast.Give up ,thought so he is better suited the lead character’s best friend so if he wants to play Guy Gardner in the green lantern I’m fine by it.It’s more to who he is,and the Jon Stewart talks if you guys are confused why ryan reynolds was to play green lantern then you are not fans of comic books.You just saw the cartoon.Let me educate you if you will: The green lanterns are intergalactic space cops that patrol the universe.They divide space to sectors totaling 3600, earth is in sector 2814 to date there have been 4 GL that had patroled this sector there’s Jon Stewart (african american) Guy Gardner(caucasian) and Kyle Rayner(half irish half latino) the most famous is Hal Jordan,considered the best of them all. Hope that clears the confusion

like all comic book fans I was shocked though not surprised that Ryan was their choice for green lantern.I was hoping for Chris Pine to play the role but I guess ryan will do fine.I’m more upset at some of the “favorites” Bradley Cooper?? Justin Timberlake?….TIMBERLAKE??? the guy from N’SYNC ?!? that was one of your final choice? are they nuts? That is way insulting for fans to think that this character is not important that you just get anyone to play it…ridiculous!Of the subject now I just realize something,Ryan reynolds is a real comic book fan.he did Blade he did wolverine he tried out to be the flash,so that reason alone I hope he succeeds in this movie franchise. You hear that Limbaugh! “I hope he succeeds” take some notes

I think the director could have a great impact on Reynold’s success portraying Hal Jordan. With Casino Royale, he made the unlikely choice of Daniel Craig now synonymous with the name “James Bond.” Also, remember all the “Brokeback Joker” comments when the late Heath Ledger was tapped for “Dark Knight?” Hal Jordan starts out as a cocky, fearless jack@$$ test pilot who is thrust into disillusionment on a galactic scale when he has the most powerful weapon in the universe placed on his finger.

Ryan is a better person to do a Flash movie. Green lantern is noble and honorable, not a funny, witty douchebag. I’m expecting mass histaria and millions of shaking heads.

This Article was only half right, he was in another Movie from marvel where he kinda played a messed up Hannibal King in blade. He doesn’t strike me as Hal Jordan, Kyle Raynor, Maybe. Guy Gardner, Maybe, but not hal jordan.

Ryan rocks. He’ll be a great Green Lantern. Die-hard fans relax. Wasn’t Chris Pine an amazing Captain Kirk? Ryan will be an amazing Green Lantern. I know it.

I have no problems with Reynolds playing the Green Lantern, but they need to pull him from the Deadpool spin-off if he’s going to do that. He can’t do both.
