Jesse James Hollywood, the ringleader of a group of teenage drug users whose crimes inspired the 2006 film Alpha Dog, was convicted by a Santa Barbara, Calif. jury of kidnapping and murder. Justin Timberlake and Emile Hirsch costarred in the film, which dramatized the kidnapping in 2000 of Ben Markowitz and the murder of his younger stepbrother, Nicholas. Hollywood, 29, whose lawyer had attempted to block the release of Alpha Dog, fled after the killing and lived as a fugitive for four years before finally being captured in Brazil in 2005. This was his fourth trial. He could face the death penalty.

The character in “Alpha Dog” and Jesse James Hollywood are two different people. Santa Barbara didnt have very much evidence against JJH but convicted him anyway. Sometimes “better safe than sorry” overshadows all other jury instructions. I feel bad for Nick’s family regardless. Now I feel bad for Hollywood’s family.
Yeah, even without hard evidence it is right by american law to kill, torture and it imprison people. You guys can be really pround of your “System of Jusice”.
CORRECTIONS : Ben Markowitz was NOT kidnapped, his YOUNGER BROTHER was KIDNAPPED and MURDERED. Hollywood was 1 0f 4 CO DEFENDANTS, this wasa the LAST trial he has only had 1 TRIAL
