30 Rock and Friday Night Lights are the two best shows on tv. More power to 30 Rock for its unpredictable plots and weird angle humor. no other modern sitcom comes close. I’ll have the dvds but I’m still glad it survived long enough for syndication.
don’t rob that:

sweet!
Maybe syndication will help it attract more viewers? Great sitcoms like The Office, Scrubs, Arrested Development, and 30 Rock struggle to nab large audiences and it’s due in large part to not having a laugh track, I believe. I realize they are not everyone’s cup-of-tea, but they really should have higher ratings compared to a show like Two and a Half Men, which isn’t groundbreaking or even consistently clever. Without the benefit of a laugh-track, a large part of the viewing audience is slow to get a joke or might feel awkward with more racy subject matter. Who knows? A lot of people try and say it’s because these comedies aren’t really that good, but I find that hard to accept when critics shower them with praise, they clean up during awards season, and they have a strong contigent of viewers that aren’t afraid to champion them.
