Paula Abdul has told the Associated Press that she has been invited to back to American Idol for "the duration of the show, however long it lasts," but a new contract to stay on as an Idol judge has not yet been finalized. Her current deal expired in May after the end of the eighth season. "[Idol]'s something that I'll always would want to be a part of," she said.

As crazy as Paula is, I can’t imagine Idol without her. Plus, I’d rather have Paula than Kara, if it comes down to one or the other.
The show would not be the same without Paula. Or any of the judges for that matter.

I hope they don’t come to terms and that Paula is gone – I’ve had enough of her on this show. And even though people don’t seem to like Kara at least she knows what she is talking about. Keep Kara and ditch Paula and just be done with her.
Paula is a little spacy, doesn’t make much sense, but it wouldn’t be the same w/out her. Kara needs to go – the original three are what most of us are used to, and Kara seems too desperate, talks too much, and takes up too much time and space. Bye Kara.

Keep Paula, just get rid of Kara, last hired first fired. Besides Kara is hard to like, I know we like to fast forward when she talks.

I’d definitely keep Kara. She’s at least intelligent, a real performer/song writer and is balanced in her reviews. They would just need to find a third new judge.
I can’t stand Kara. She talks too much and is way too dramatic. She makes me cringe and a lot of times I have to turn away because she is just too embarrassing to watch. The original three judges have the chemistry that made the show popular to begin with….don’t fix what’s not broken. I hope things work out to keep Paula on the show. I’ll still watch either way, but it wouldn’t be the same without her. BTW, being nostalgic is what America is about.
