Actor Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films, has contracted swine flu three days before the London premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, AFP reports. According to his publicist, the actor took three days off filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows but is expected to join his co-stars on Tuesday for the premiere.

i hope rupert gets better soon! if he’s still sick on premiere day he should stay home and rest. i read that 6 people in britain died from swine flu. obviously that doesn’t mean that rupert will die, it’s just scary. there have been some deaths in the usa from swine flu, too. but i read on another site that rupert’s case is mild, but yeah if he’s still sick on tuesday he should stay home. i hope he gets better!

He’s been declared to be in the non contagious final period of the illness so he’ll be fine to go to the premiere. All of the news articles in the states stated that he had a very mild case of swine flu. He’s fine.
Thank GOD he’s okay!! Apparently Swine flu has been a big problem in the UK and people have been actually dying from it. I’m so glad Rupert only had a mild version! Love you Rupert!
