Michael Jackson was reportedly working on two albums at time of death

Categories: Uncategorized

Billboard magazine is reporting that at the time of Michael Jackson's death, the aging pop star was working on two albums in addition to preparing for a 50-show concert series. One album, the website reports, was in the pop vein, while another would be made up entirely instrumental classical compositions. Jackson's pop album was a collaboration with songwriter Claude Kelly and Akon, who says Jackson was motivated by his fans and by his children, who had never seen him perform live. For the classical album, composer David Michael Frank was invited to Jackson's Holmby Hills home a few months ago looking for help with orchestration.

    It is really a shame.

this pop druggie has done nothing for himself or his industry for 25 years. His PR unit is hyping for future money and trying to create a black, no white or whatever memory.

I don’t understand all the jealousy…I am not a big Michael Jackson fan either but I have to not only respect his talent but also admit that the Pop Music and culture we have today would not exist without him even if it was a 100 years ago.

That is very sad. I was eagerly waiting for this next album, which would have made many mouths shut.

hey john warren, Michael had done nothing for the industry in the past two decades? tell us, from what planet or rock have you been hiding all these years? Michael single-handedly broke racial barriers and helped changed the landscape of our culture with his music on a global scale. your ignorance is astounding, do some research before you post something stupid. You just made a fool out of yourself with your stupid, ignorant remarks.

wish he was around to witness the resurrection of his career and the renewed interest in his person and works. with tons of unrealised dream compositions, MJ has left behind a deep void in us … and in the music world. listening to to his unreleased tracks and footages will do little to quell the longing to see this amazing persona in person one last time … as it is, the world never really could get enough of michael jackson. so no matter how long he may have lived, we would still be gasping for more from where that came from. RIPMJ.

john warren, come out of your cave and say that again. you seem to be the most ignorant person as far as michael jackson is concerned and if you really know something about the music scene. then again, maybe you’re just a 5 year old who’s still listening to nursery rhymes. if that’s the case, we forgive your for your ignorance.

Wow…describe him as AGING pop star. OUCH. Now 50 is OLD I guess. If he was aging at 50, what was Karl Malden at 97? ageD? ha
Anyway, still time to vote on latest MJ poll here:

    nevermind

John Warren and Entertainment Blogger, you are both moronic
D*UCHE-BAGS. No one wants to read anymore of your trashy comments.

  • lakhvir singh

well said, EntertainmentBlogger :) lol, i’m also an aging fan of michael jackson lol

Don’t make a backlash become of this. It seems that the money-grabbers are out to squeeze every cent from this man’s corpse. Was Elvis working on 500 albums at the time of his death? Sure, I’m interested, but what are the stores going to look like at Christmas? Staple Center Memorial CD/DVD/Pay per view tribute on anniversary date, best of collections, lost recordings, anthologies, home movies….

micheal was an excellent pop – star of the century , nobody can replace it ever ,and ever , i assure it ! ! ! ….

Now, was the “aging” comment really necessary. We all need to be conscious of how bias of any kind – age, racial, gender, and gender identity – enters into our oral and written language. We need to be conscious of bias and eliminate it from our thinnking and actions.
Journalists can do so by sticking with the facts -> Michael Jackson was working on two albums at the time of his death, one pop, one classical.
His “aging fans” will appreciate your writing all the more. :-) KS (age 54)

Regardless of how long ago his ontribution to pop music might have been, his relevance and contribution on to pop culture on a global scale will ALWAYS be infintely greater than your pathetic, insigificant existence.

Well folks, if you’re in the job market, the cutoff age for “over the hill” is 40. It used to be 60, but employers are now cautious about hiring 40+.
As for the “aging” remark, I agree, it should be edited out. 50 is not old, but in entertainment terms it is.

  • Sally in Chicago

If he was trying to fulfill his contract and do two albums, then yeh, he was sleep deprived. I can see him asking for something to help him sleep.

  • Nathan

This was all just too much at once, especially for someone with health issues. A real shame.

Study the life and downfall of Amadeus and how it parallels Michael Jackson’s. Wherever there is genius and vulnerability with love, there are theives in the night. A pity this dycotomy has to exist on this planet.

This is a tragic and senseless loss. Mike had so much to offer to the world and now he’s gone. What’s so upsetting is there was no reason for this happen. It was simply a dumb decision, and for $$$ those around him did not stop him. I was so looking forward to see his new moves and all that energy on stage (like only Mike can do). I wish his family, kids, and fans the best.
    He will So greatly missed.

  • loretta

Please stick to the real thing here the man is gone but he was an great proformer of all time.

  • Bob
