I can’t believe it. And I’m so very sorry to hear of her passing. I was just thinking last night that I should try to find if she has a website to write to her. I was watching Are You Being Served? on our local PBS station and thinking that we’ve already lost John Inman and more recently Wendy Richards. Darn!! We’ll miss her terribly.
I just love Mollie on the Are You Being Served series! Those wicked double entendres and that wildly coloured hair kept me laughing hysterically. I’m glad she got to live to a great ripe old age! I only wish America knew and appreciated her much better and more widely.
I’ll try again…
I hope that her kitty cat (use slang here – as she does on the show) – is well taken care of.
Rest in peace knowing you gave many people many hearty laughs.
What a wonderful actress! My family – three generations gather to watch AYBS every summer when we are all together. She will be missed.
Ah, damnit! I love her…this people dying stuff is getting really old.

Mrs. Slocomb, you will be missed. You brought so much joy and laughter into my life. I still watch are you being served on my dvds. I could watch them 100 times and still never be bored. Rest in Peace Dear Lady.
Mollie Sudgen was and always will be one of my favorite British actors. She along with John Inman made the classic British comedy ARE YOU BEING SERVED? full of laughter and one of the best comic experiences of a viewer’s lifetime.
I mourn the loss of one of my favorite television performers. She became a legend in her own time. Mollie has gone to Heaven but “Mrs. Slocombe” will always be with us. God bless her!

I am so sad to find out that Mollie Sugden has passed. I LOVE “Are You Being Served?” and she was my favorite character. I remember when my father was ill and dying, the only thing that could take my mind off it and make me smile was that show. She will be greatly missed!
I was sorry to hear of Mollie Sugden’s passing. My daughter and I watch Are You Being Served every Sunday night. We love the show. I love not knowing what color hair her hair will be that week. She will be missed.
