Fans of ABC's Castle, starring Nathan Fillion, can now bring the dashing mystery writer's work to the beach. According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC.com will unveil chapters of a novel titled Heat Wave—credited to Richard Castle—for 10 weeks beginning Aug. 10. The complete novel will then be published in print Sept. 29, tied to the launch of Castle's second season.

*very* clever, i look forward to reading it!
What would make it even better is if the book jacket had Richard Castle’s pic on it! Yes, I know I’m so VERY shallow!
What a great tie in to the show! I can’t wait to read it!
That’s awesome! Bring on the Nikki Heat adventures!
lol This is awesome!! I can’t wait to read all about Nikki Heat. What a great way to promote the show! I was so glad it got picked up for a second season when so many new shows never make it!

It’s interesting how committed ABC seems to be in making the show work.
So, will the novel be about the characters in Castle, or will it actually be about the made-up Nikki Heat character? And who is doing the actual writing? (Obviously Richard Castle is not a real person).
