Toronto police have charged Black Eyed Peas manager Liborio Molina with assault after a scuffle with blogger Perez Hilton at a local awards ceremony, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Molina, 36, was ordered to appear Aug. 5 to answer the assault charge. Hilton first alerted the police via Twitter that he had apparently been involved in an altercation with the Black Eyed Peas group during the early hours of Monday morning.

Chris Brown avoids jail time in plea bargain
Chris Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault today in Los Angeles in a deal with prosecutors. Brown was sentenced to probation and community service for beating then-girlfriend Rihanna in a February incident. He must also stay 50 yards away from Rihanna unless the two are present at the same event, in which case he must stay 10 yards away from her, and he is forbidden from contacting her in any way. The deal includes 180 days of community service such as trash removal in Virginia (where Brown resides), along with fiveyears of supervised probation and a court-mandated 52-week domestic violencecounseling program. (The singer had faced up to four years in prison if convicted.)
Rihanna was not present at the hearing until Brown left the courtroom, at which point she arrived and was given a copy of the judge's stay-away order for Brown. She made no statement. Brown will be formally sentenced on Aug. 5. (Additional reporting by John Young)
Jon and Kate Gosselin file for divorce
People.com is reporting that Jon and Kate Gosselin filed divorce papers in Pennsylvania today to end their 10-year marriage. It has been widely anticipated that the couple will use tonight's episode of Jon & Kate Plus Eight to announce their split, based on press reports and suspicious spots promoting the one-hour episode on TLC.
Farrah Fawcett back in hospital
People.com is reporting that Farrah Fawcett has returned to a LosAngeles hospital. A source tells the website that the actress, who was firstdiagnosed with anal cancer in 2006, is not doing well. Fawcett's publicist Arnold Robinson said she is still being treated for hercondition. Meanwhile, Ryan O'Neal told Barbara Walters that he wants to marry Fawcett, who is "fighting for her life."
Quincy Jones heads to the Great White Way
Better late than never: Legendary producer Quincy Jones says a project he's been working on for 33 years is finally coming together. The Genesis and Evolution of Jazz and Blues is finally headed to Broadway and will also become a 3-D Pixar film, the New York Daily News reports. Jones says he hopes to work with Lion King director Julie Taymor, whose next project is the upcoming screen adaptation of The Tempest, starring Helen Mirren and Russell Brand. "She’s my baby," the News quotes Jones as saying of Taymor.
Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal to marry
In an interview with Barbara Walters for 20/20, Ryan O'Neal said that he and longtime partner Farrah Fawcett plan to marry. He also says that the very ill Fawcett is "fighting for her life" and that they will exchange vows whenever she's able.
'Nip/Tuck' quietly finishes shooting; series finale likely to air in 2011
FX's graphic plastic surgery drama Nip/Tuck filmed its final (and, coincidentally, its 100th) episode on June 12, but the episode most likely won't air until sometime in 2011. FX first announced that the show would end in 2011 at last year's summer press tour. "It's sad because it feels incomplete," script supervisor Diana Valentine said to the LA Times.
The series, created by Ryan Murphy (Glee) and starring Julian McMahon and Dylan Walsh, won the 2005 Golden Globe for Best Drama Series and ran for five seasons. The final episode will reportedly feature a final dinner scene involving most of the show's major characters.
Ryan Seacrest and Lindsay Lohan planning a reality show?
TMZ is reporting that Ryan Seacrest and Lindsay Lohan have met to discuss plans for a reality show. Seacrest would produce the series which would feature Lohan, possibly as a judge, and will dole out $1 million to people whose lives are on the wrong track and are looking for a new start. Seacrest posted a message on Twitter Friday saying, "Met with lindsay last night about a show idea I have for her..it helps people and gives others a second shot! Still putting it all together". Lohan also posted a message: "Working on a really great project for television- I am excited! Something meaningful like Extreme Home Makeover on ABC..

Visual effects specialist Charles Gibson (Babe, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest) will make his directing debut with The Goblin, Variety reports. The comedy revolves around a suburban family that finds a curmudgeonly goblin living in its new house.
Jon Gosselin talks to fans on Father's Day, dodges divorce question
On the heels of reports that Jon and Kate Gosselin will announced their divorce on Jon & Kate Plus Eight tonight, People.com is reporting that Jon Gosselin spent Father's Day with his kids at their home in Wernersville, Pa., and at one point spoke to fans who were at the front gate. When asked about the possible breakup of his marriage, he only said, "You'll have to watch the show." He also declined to answer any questions about RadarOnline.com's report that he was recently apartment-hunting in New York City.
