'Jon & Kate': TLC denies report that Jon's 'girlfriend' is appearing on the show

TLC issued a firm denial to a published report alleging that Jon Gosselin's girlfriend, Deanne Hummel, will appear in future episodes of Jon & Kate Plus Eight. "There are no plans to use her," says a network spokeswoman. "We are in hiatus and all future episodes haven't even been planned." Monday's episode of the show, in which the Gosselins announced their plans to divorce, attracted a record 10.6 million viewers.

Salma Hayek denies Jon Peters affair: EW Exclusive

Actress Salma Hayek, in a statement exclusive to EW.com, is denouncing reports that she had an affair with Batman producer Jon Peters, who has recently been shopping around a book proposal about his career and personal life. "After several weeks of continued press coverage of Jon Peters’ upcoming book, I want to make something very clear," Hayek says. "I have never dated nor had a romantic relationship with Mr. Peters. My name has been continually linked to his romantic liaisons, and I want to put a stop to this lie."

Much of the coverage of Peters' proposal listed Hayek's name along with Barbra Streisand, Kim Basinger, Pamela Anderson, Nicolette Sheridan, Sharon Stone, and Catherine Zeta-Jones as Peters' past loves. Peters produced Hayek's 1999 action comedy Wild Wild West.

ABC gives 'Find My Family' a home

ABC has picked up six episodes of the relationship reality series Find My Family, according to Variety.The show follows the stories of people searching for a long-lost relative or friend.Based on the Dutch series Lost Without a Trace, the show was retitled Find My Family for an Australian version, which was a huge success. Two reunions will be featured in each episode, as participants reveal what happened to their relationship, and cameras follow them as they meet up with their long-lost relative, friend or love.Former NFL linebacker and A Current Affair anchor Tim Green will host along with entertainment reporter Lisa Joyner.

Daniel Craig in talks to star in thriller 'Dream House'

Quantum of Solace action-hero Daniel Craig is in early discussions to star in the psychological thriller Dream House, according to the Hollywood Reporter. In the film, penned by David Loucka and set to be directed by Jim Sheridan, Craig would play a man who moves his family to an idyllic small town, only to find his house haunted by its former inhabitants, who were murdered there.

James Cameron's 'Avatar' footage screened at Cinema Expo

James Cameron unveiled the first publicly shown clips from his $300 million 3-D sci-fi action-flick, Avatar, during Fox's presentation at Cinema Expo, according to Hollywood Reporter. When introducing the 24-minute footage, Cameron said much of it came from the first third of the film but that there were also glimpses from unfinished portions of later battle scenes involving warring sides clashing over control of the fantasy world Pandora. Avatar actors Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana and Stephen Lang also greeted exhibitors.

Katherine Heigl to star in romance drama 'Life as We Know It'

Katherine Heigl is set to star in the Warner Bros. romance drama Life as We Know It, according to Variety. Everwood creator Greg Berlanti will direct the drama, with Barry Josephson and Paul Brooks producing. Heigl and her mother Nancy Heigl are exec producing. The project, which first came to life in 2001, centers around two single people who suddenly become caregivers to an orphaned girl after her parents — and mutual best friends — are killed in an accident. Heigl is starring in the romantic comedy, The Ugly Truth, opposite Gerard Butler, which hits theaters July 24.

The Roots set to premiere new single on 'Jimmy Fallon'

The Roots will perform the title track of their forthcoming album How I Got Over for the first time on tonight's episode of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Billboard reports. The hip-hop veterans have served as Fallon's house band since the show's launch in March. How I Got Over, the band's ninth studio album, is due this Oct. 20.

Callum Blue cast as General Zod on 'Smallville'

Sources confirm that Callum Blue (The Tudors, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Related) has landed the role as the DC Comics supervillain General Zod for The CW sci-fi show's upcoming ninth season. Terence Stamp played the character in the 1980 movie Superman II. EW's Michael Ausiello first reported that Smallville was casting Zod last month.

Martin Lawrence plans new TV comedies

Martin Lawrence is set to produce three new TV comedy series, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Lawrence's production company, Runteldat, is behind a planned animated Fox show based on Lawrence's life as a 13-year-old in the Washington, D.C. area, as well as a single-camera Starz series about an interracial family based on comedian Gary Owen's stand-up. Lawrence himself is also developing "a multicamera family comedy set at a funeral home," with no network attached yet.
