Lea Thompson has been cast in another made-for-TV movie, this time teaming with director Howard Deutch. According to the Hollywood Reporter, A Town Called Malice "centers on a former rock 'n roll star (Thompson) who returns to her hometown with her estranged teenage daughter after her husband self-destructs during a comeback concert. Faced with the loss of the family fortune, the two must rebuild their lives as well as their relationship in the small town Mom ran away from when she was 16."Thompson has starred in several TV movies in the last few years, including nine Jane Doe films on the Hallmark Channel, and Deutch most recently directed My Best Friend's Girl.

Howard Deutch is her husband. That might have been mentioned here. They met on Some Kind of Wonderful. I’m not even particularly a fan of hers, but I know that, want me to do your reporting for you?
Here’s hoping the movie (which is actually a potential pilot for a series) finds a home. It would be great to see Lea on television every week again!
