Tabloid targets Jon and Kate Gosselin, who recently announced their plans to separate on their TLC series Jon & Kate Plus Eight, have decided to no longer give interviews to the media about their estranged marriage.
In a statement on their TLC website, the couple said, "During this very difficult time we will be working to focus solely onthe needs of our family. This includes no longer commenting publicly orreacting to media stories and speculation. Our goal is to do the verybest for our children and that will be done as privately as possible.We appreciate the understanding, support and well wishes from so many. Thank you."

Geez-what took them so long to realize that bashing each other publicly makes things worse for their kids?
Poor Kate, With all the tragic celebrity deaths, the tabloids must have stopped offering her enough money to sell out her children’s privacy.
Don’t worry, the greedy blabbermouth will be back soon slamming Jon and blaming her children for her “misery”.
That should read Kate no longer will bad mouth her husband.
It’s about time. Kate didn’t hesitate to give an in depth interview to People as soon as the divorce news broke. We can only assume that Jon has put a stop to this since he’s the one who doesn’t open mouth to a magazine every time he wants a story heard.
Seriously, ladies… the show is over. Time to move on with your sad, pathetic, boring lives.
I do not hate Kate, I just can not stand the way she treats Jon and those poor sweet babies. That woman sure needs anger management. I feel so sorry for those little ones. Jon is a big boy, he can hamdle his ownself I hope. Those 8 little ones can not. So someone needs to step in and take care of them. Kick Kate of the house that belongs to the babies, and let them live Happily ever after…..
Close up shop. Leave these people alone, stop the freebies and let them deal with their 8 kids on their own, as in getting REAL jobs like the rest of us! Last thing I want to see is a reality show about a couple with 8 kids going through a divorce. How sick is that?

Actually, the lawyers have shut Kate up and it’s in order to save her own saggy a*s. The lawyers have plenty to attack each spouse with and the more they blab about each other to the press, the more piles up against the bad-mouth. Finally, peace for us.

How come no one gets that this is a scripted TV show? If it was real there would not be TV cameras in the kitchen and in the car and in the bedroom. It’s a TV show folks… it’s just a show…you know, fantasy.

i hope that this is actually true, that jon and kate will keep things private. they shouldn’t have even announced their divorce on the air. maybe they thought it would end the tabloid stuff, but it probably won’t. i just hope that the kids knew before the viewers.

Did anyone ever think that maybe Kate badmouthed Jon because he was running around for a while? He certainly doesn’t honor his vows.
The no-comment decision should have been made the day they signed the TLC contract. IF Jon was playing around and I say IF because so far there is no proof, then I don’t blame him. If I had to put up Ms. Control Freak for 10 years I’d be ready to kill her about now. I gave up on the show before they split simply because I couldn’t stand watching her emasculate her husband on national TV any more.
I give it a week until Kate becomes hysterical without a camera or reporter to talk to.
What they mean by “publically” is that they will just air their various greviances through other people who will in turn, feed the media. You can’t expect a media ho like kate to go without her name in the media for too long.
