Francis Ford Coppola — who directed Captain Eo, a 3-D fantasy film starring Michael Jackson that was shown at Disney theme parks — issued this statement to EW.com about the pop star: "I knew him slightly, mainly during the time I worked on Captain Eo. Every Friday, I'd buy him a present — something small and fun — and he'd be very excited about what it was. He was very sweet, but also very deliberate. He loved to learn and during rehearsal he had fun learning how to properly salute and do an about face. He got a kick out of being military. He reminded me of a kid — innocent, eager and joyful." Jackson died on Thursday at the age of 50.

Poor Michael. He had so much to look forward to.
Ah, Captain Eo. I saw that so many times as a kid. Maybe Disneyland should reprise it this year… It was fun.

Ok, not everyone was a fan. How many stories do we need to know that MJ died. Any other news to report on or did the world come to a stop?
There’s only one legitimate place I’ve found to hear the 911 call, it’s over at http://jjpeg.com/watch28225.html and the autopsy report itself is over at http://jjpeg.com/file2018451.html for download if you wanna read it
They make you do a little questionnaire to get into the site for some reason but it works so whatever
Thanks for all the information. These tidbits are so interesting. I loved Michael Jackson since I was 12, and I used to wait for his concerts to come on VH1 and would watch them, tears streaming down my face, for a reason I don’t know other than I kept thinking, “He’s such a wonderful person, I love him.” Can’t explain it; I haven’t felt that emotionally connected to another performer since.
It is very sad that Michael died, but what is even sadder is how fake the media is being. They act like he was just the most beloved person ever, even though all the media ever did was tear him apart. The sad fact is, Michael Jackson died the but of every joke. He died with people still seeing him as a joke. No one treated him right when he was alive, and I think it’s a cop out, and a disgrace to try and honor a man they clearly didn’t admire. For the record I think his life was a sad life, and that he never was able to find the peace he wanted. Also, I thought he was a great talent, and just hope the controversy won’t be his legacy…
“Nate” you are so right, the media never cared about him before then why start now. Its ugly how been in the spotlight or wanting to be in the spotlight make some people so determine to ruin a great artist like Micheal. Gosh i love him and will truly miss him, cause he can’t be replaced.
I never realised until Friday evening how much Michael Jackson affected my life. I see so much of my life in him and am really sad, terribly heartbroken. I’m still mourning and i wish he could resurrect right now. U know, we never know what we have till it’s gone.
MJ WAS MY CHILDHOOD HERO AND ONE PART OF MY DREAMS HAS BEEN CUT SHORT,I BELIEVE HE LIVES ON EVEN IN DEATH.
I grew up listening to Michael’s music and will miss his incredible talent. He changed a lot of things in the worlds of both music and dance. My deepest condolonces go out to his family and close friends.
I will personally miss Michael. The good things that he has done for the world are immeasurable. He will always be an inspiration to me. When all the world feels dark and mean he could always cheer me up. I don’t like all of the negative jokes and comments that I’ve heard since he passed. I wish that everyone could remember all the lives he’s helped through music and charity. Instead of the conroversy that always loomed over him. Now at the end he should be truly happy, inocent and at peace. I love Michael and I wish I would have had the chance to tell him that everything he stood for made a huge impact on me and the way that I treat others! Be Well!
RIP MJ…I can’t believe he’s gone..
I guess we’ll never really know what happened to him in his final hours…I just hope the autopsy gives clarity and closure to the Jackson family..

i totally agree with nat, although i have this feeling that somewere michaels laughing-hes having the last laugh as always-because he knew he would go like this and he new ther would be this kind of reaction.
however, while some of the media are being very nice an respectful and fair,i feel others are horribly continuing on with tabloid-style sensationalist reports- clearly from disgruntled ex-friends and employees who are totally unreliable-it makes me angry what michael’s nanny has done-if she cared so much bout her “babies” then she wouldnt allow herself to be paid to say such things-even if what she were saying was true
an as for th incident itself-theres something not right thats made me turn from grief-stricken to angry-most people who dunno squat about first aid would fone 911 straight away if they found someone not breathing, and this doctor who don even no basic 1st aid?!-he finds michael, took 50 mins to dial 911 an gave him CPR on his bed! i reali smella rat here, love u mj! xox
micheal was a real hero and i believe his music lives on even after dealth
