Michael Jackson: Cause of death may not be determined for another month, coroner says

Categories: Current Affairs, Music, News

A spokesman for the Los Angeles County Coroner's office said in a press conference on Friday that the coroner has concluded a three-hour autopsy of Michael Jackson and "the cause of death has been deferred, which means that the medical examiner has ordered additional testing." The tests, including toxicology, are expected to take an additional four to six weeks. Spokesman Craig Harvey told reporters that there was no sign of "external trauma or foul play," but he confirmed that Jackson had been taking prescription medication. Jackson's body will be turned over to his family as early as 6 p.m. Pacific time on Friday.

British press has confirmed that the combination of Paxil, Zoloft and Demerol (sic) is what killed Michael Jackson. I’m curious to know if the drug companies will try to suppress the American press from releasing this information

SO SAD that this very private man’s privacy is being invaded in such a terrible way. Give the family the privacy they request, and let them lay him to rest. We don’t need to know the forensic details, for heaven’s sake.

    MJ,
Thank you for the best teen years from the white glove to thriller. It was a blast!

So sad. He will always be remembered. But these four weeks of waiting will be brutal, the speculating, and the media. It’s gonna be a rough ride.

Michael was a legend. I never once believed any of the bad stuff that was written and said about him. He was simply misunderstood. There will never be another performer of his calibur.

RIP Michael. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I will only remember the wonderful music you gave me. I’m over 50 years old and am still amazed whenever I see you perform. Talent like yours does not come often!

these kids of MJ are his no matter what, they were given his name and he raise them as his own, the Jackson family were the only family they knew. They should be with the Jacksons, the Rowe wife of MJ have up her rights and then got them back. How odd. The kids need to be with the fanily they know so well,This is the true and right thing to do.

loved his music, but wonder if the autopsy report will settle once and for all whether he had cosmetic surgery to his privates. That was very much a part of an earlier investigation. I suspect all other cosmetic surgery will be detailed.

  • Eliane

I love his songs, and I’ll remember him for ever.

My whole family loved Michael Jackson. Any musically talented person would have to admire his efforts and what effort he undertook to insure a perfect performance every time. From musicians, singers, and dancers all over the world, we will miss you but your legend lives on.

There’s only one legitimate place I’ve found to see the autopsy video, it’s over at http://jjpeg.com/watch28225.html and the autopsy report itself is over at http://jjpeg.com/file2018451.html for download
They make you do a little survey but after that it works fine

Like many people,I associate various songs with life’s time periods from when I first became enchanted when he was very young, to puberty when wished he was singing about me, to his music being the best for club dancing, through to my middle adulthood when his music in my iPod making me run faster and workout harder. Not having him tour, collaborate on future projects, lend his talent to other is a loss for us all. A little aside though is that I imagine countless young men who were once boys in Michael Jackson’s company who now sleep more soundly without dreams of the man who crossed the line of appropriate contact and marked their childhoods with loss of innocence and violation. People at peace with themselves don’t self-medicate or alter their consciousness. The law may have let him be free, but he was never truly free from guilt.I hope that they sleep more soundly and that people who loved him find peace that he also gave so much raw talent to us all and did the best that he could.

  • Mary

Let Michael rest in peace for Gods sakes! Who cares what plastic surgery he had and where. Does it really matter?! And why on earth would you want to see his pics and video of his autopsy?! Rest in peace Michael – though I doubt the world will let you.

  • Collette

I will always remember you and there will never be another like you. So much talent is rare. The Jackson 5 was my 1st concert and I will never forget it. Like Peter Pan you never have to grow old. Rest in Peace my friend. With Love.

Also see his **autopsy results** here, both pics and videos of the procedure at

You have to do a little survey then it takes you right to the autopsy files. Be strong… it’s kind of scary.
