NNNNOOOOOOOOOO! SHE WILL TANK THE SERIES LIKE SHE HAS DONE EVERY SHOW SHE HAS BEEN ON! Boston Public, Star Trek, Shark, etc. Every show that made her a regular starts off good (before her) and then she absorbs the show to focus around her and then it’s cancels. Haven’t these TV Execs learned anything!

Shark got cancelled because it was switched to two nights and then the Writer’s Strike hit. Jeri Ryan was good on that show. I’m sorry they axed it, and sorrier still that her maternity leave kept her out of the final episodes.
I’m planning on starting to watch Leverage once the DVDs drop. I’ll look forward to seeing Ryan on my screens once again.
P.S. For the record, my first name really is Ryan
Any Jerry Ryan is good Jerry Ryan, I have never watched this show but will start to do so now.
She made Voyager better (it ended cause it was only going to go 7 years) and made Shark watchable (soooooo glad James Woods does not get any more work).
Go Jerry! Geeks everywhere miss you
Jeri Ryan is as fine as feathers but that doesn’t change the fact that any show she joins the cast of doesn’t last for long. “Boston Public”, going good. Enter Jeri Ryan and it tanks. “Shark” (who doesn’t love that manic oddball James Woods), going good. A bit too much Jeri Ryan and it’s down the tube for Shark.
This is not to say that Jeri Ryan isn’t “sufficient” as an actor. It’s just that when she’s around flashing cleavage, the writers think they can lay down on the job because sex sells, doesn’t it? The answer is yes, but not enough to keep a show around when all it has left is cleavage. Besides, Parker was all the sexy we viewers needed, and sexy she was/is.
So, saidly I’ll say my goodbyes now to the little show that could, and did, without Jeri Ryan (sexy as she is) in a lowcut blouse. Au revoir, “Leverage”. You were fine the way you were and no doubt would’ve lived on, until they added the kiss of death to you.
The reason why Jeri is brought into shows is to save them. Shes done that consistently by bringing in a wider audience. She should do the same in Leverage.
Thanks for every other excellent article. The place else may anyone get that type of information in such a perfect method of writing? I have a presentation next week, and I am on the look for such information.
