G4 to air 'Star Wars' Comic-Con panel

Tags:

Variety reports that “The Star Wars Spectacular” will become the first televised panel in the history of Comic-Con when it airs July 25 on cable channel G4 (the panel takes place the previous day). Fronted by Attack of the Show! co-hosts Olivia Munn and Kevin Pereira, the two-hour presentation will deliver unseen footage along with a reading of a new script in the Clone Wars series. Panel members will include Lucasfilm exec Steve Sansweet and Clone Wars supervising director Dave Filoni.

    Hot Damn!!!

Does anybody really care what Sansweet and Filoni have to say? No offense, but who are these guys? Why don’t they televise a panel with people we’ve heard of?

  • Really, Jane?

If you don’t know who Steve Sansweet is, then how much do you really know about Star Wars? Also, Dave Filoni is directly involved with The Clone Wars (both the movie and series), so who would you suggest is better to speak about it (and if you say Lucas, then that would be a dull panel indeed, being that we would only speak generally about it rather than with any really zeal or facts…)?

Is this the “big SW announcement” that G4 was teasing about Comic-con during their E3 coverage? I was hoping ti was going to be something related to the long rumored live-action SW TV series…

The Comic-Con Star Wars panel is BORING every single year. It is a LucasFilm making a big, live commercial for its products. Seriously. Stale and boring and the people keep eating it up because it says “Star Wars.” LucasFilm marketing runs the show.

It would be a nice surprise if the panel turns out to be about the upcoming LIVE ACTION Star Wars TV Series. I don’t know if I want to watch two hours of folks talking about the Clone Wars cartoon. http://nickleshi.blogspot.com

This will only be bareable if Olivia resurrects the outfits from FHM for the broadcast. She can leave Kevin home.
