I was named after the infamous witch and I say this should be one hell of a good movie with Johnny Depp as Barnabas. Angelina Jolie is the ONLY choice for encompassing Angelique’s sinister and mischievious personality.

I have been hearing about Johnny Depp planning to make this movie for years! Glad to see it’s finally going to happen. And what would REALLY be cool is if Jonathan Frid could have a cameo in the movie…cos’ HE’S STILL ALIVE! In his 80’s..but STILL KICKING! And he doesn’t look too bad either!

DARK SHADOWS lives forever! I go to the DS conventions every 2-3 years. That show made television history! I am excited that they are making the movie…I just hope that they make it well. Lately, all the film adaptations of old classic TV shows have been HORRIBLE! Just keep to the original. Don’t try to make it a parody or anything. Make it scary, romantic, thrilling, and leave it open-ended for goodness sake! We want sequels!
Oh! The original actors need total cameos…and the kind that won’t end up on the cutting room floor! We want them all in the movie! Get them before they all kick the bucket!
David Selby is still around…and still very sexy!

Doesn’t anyone else agree that Tim Burton should be replaced as the movie’s director since Burton will not be able to start on Dark Shadows until late next year?

I am very worried that this will be as bad an adaptation as Burton’s version of “Planet of the Apes.” All I see happening is another awful over-the-top mess of art direction, just like Burton’s other films, completly destroying mood and turning it into a cartoonish burlesque.
