Sources confirm that Callum Blue (The Tudors, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Related) has landed the role as the DC Comics supervillain General Zod for The CW sci-fi show's upcoming ninth season. Terence Stamp played the character in the 1980 movie Superman II. EW's Michael Ausiello first reported that Smallville was casting Zod last month.

Loved Callum Blue in Dead Like Me and Secret Diary of a Call Girl, but kind of questionable casting as Zod. I hope it doesn’t go over the top like Raul Julia in Street Fighter.
