Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick welcomed healthy twin girls via a surrogate mother at 3:58 p.m. yesterday in Ohio. “Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick weighed 5 lbs., 11 oz. and Tabitha Hodge Broderick weighed 6 lbs.,” a rep for the actors said via a statement. “Both Hodge and Elwell are family names on Parker’s side. The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon.”
Back in April, EW broke the news that the 44-year-old Sex and the City star and the beloved 47-year-old one-time truant, Ferris Bueller, were planning to expand their brood through a surrogate. The couple, who married in 1997, also have a 6-year-old son, James Wilkie.

Congrats to them, and I love the names. They are old school and beautiful.
Marion and Tabitha?! Did they lose their senses (naming wise) after giving their son a terrific name? SJP and MB are talented actors and seem like really nice people and great parents, but they have those great names, why not for their girls? Maybe it skips a generation. You have to live with a not so great name to remember to pay attention when naming your offspring.
geeze, im starting to get a bit self-concious here. my name’s tabitha, and I like it. its unique enough that im usually the only tabitha wherever I am, but not so far out tere no one has heard of it. the only disadvantage is the perpetual question of if I was convieved durring an episode of bewitched.
Congratulations to SJP and MB, but Matthew, do me a favor: lose the sideburns. There. I said it. I feel better now!:)
I love Sarah, I can´t wait for the sequel.
