People.com is reporting that Jon and Kate Gosselin filed divorce papers in Pennsylvania today to end their 10-year marriage. It has been widely anticipated that the couple will use tonight's episode of Jon & Kate Plus Eight to announce their split, based on press reports and suspicious spots promoting the one-hour episode on TLC.

It’s about damn time! I just feel sorry for the kids though.
Sad all around. They may have let fame get the best of them, butthey definitely started from humblr beginnings and everything blew up with the show. Sad for all of them and esp for those kids.
I am sick to death of hearing about this. I hope they were able to tell their children about the divorce off camera. Although, they are both so despicable they will probably do it on tonights episode, which i will NOT be watching.
No surprise here. I know it takes two people to make or break a marriage, but you’ll never convince me it wasn’t Kate’s horrible behavior and demeaning comments that led to the divorce. Jon has said he’s changed, and I believe he has. He has decided he will no longer be Kate’s whipping boy. I know he’s no saint, but I believe he is not as fame hungry as Kate is. Kate can say it’s “for the kids’ college and future”, but we all know she loves the attention. She is nothing but a narcissistic control freak, and I will NOT watch the “Kate Plus 8″ show just as I will not watch tonight. Let’s just pull the damn plug on the whole ugly mess, and hope the kids get through life with minimal scars.
I can’t believe all the people trashing Kate. He’s just as guilty, if not more, for the failure of their marriage.
It takes 2 to break up a marriage, people! Jon got married too young and had 8 kids by the time he was what, 27? The man is now suddenly wanting to be a young guy again. Yes, Kate has major problems, but you people are really stupid if you think 1 person can end a marriage…..And, most marriages of multiples end in divorce anyway.
Hmm, to think I would have watched tonight’s episode – my first ever – just to hear the “ANNOUNCEMENT.” Guess they don’t care about the viewers so much that they would think twice before filing for divorce *before* the episode airs. Or they’re just stupid people who should have thought twice before having 8 children and then agreeing to put their personal life on display for the whole world to see.
I am so TIRED of everyone picking on Kate and how “mean” she is…what about JON? He is a CHEAT…and a coward. If he really thought that Kate was being mean then he is a big boy and he should have used his WORDS to communicate with Kate, not go out, get drunk and hook up with some College student…but still people fixate on Kate being mean. I think mean is a strong word to use when it comes to what we see on the show….I challenge any mother out there to try and run a household with 8 children, six of them under the age of 5, and also stay a sweet, calm and serene person while doing it. I have one child and sometimes its hard to keep it cool with just one! Not to mention, how many times have ALL of us said things to our husbands while under stress that we would NEVER want to be heard by anyone else, never mind millions of TV viewers.
