We still don’t know the truth. I’m glad this over. If were him, I’d dump her, and never look back!
I’m actually surprised he pleaded guilty to a FELONY. For everyone saying the DA didn’t have a case, if there was no case, Chris’ lawyer would have fought to have the charges brought down to a misdemeanor. I didn’t think he would actually do jail time, but I think the sentence is fair considering he took the deal with a FELONY conviction.
Try to remember that these people are public figures. Did they really want this drama to play out in court? Chris could have fought the charges and taken his chances with a trial. Many criminal trials go the way of a plea deal, so this is not a surprise! Chris copped to a FELONY, something that will be on his record for the rest of his life.
I’m just guessing, – like all the rest of you folk, but this is what I think:
1. Rihanna’s music industry handlers must have warned her – ever so nicely, of course, about the possible “career-consequences” should she REACT as one would expect a normal, ABUSE-VICTIM to act and speak. Hence, her abnormal reticence to discuss the matter – horrific pictorial evidence aside.
2. Rihaanna – weird as it still seems to me, a kindred Barbadian just like her, ACCEPTED this tacit or voiced management-Ultimatum, in order to continue to secure her place on the “Lucrative Joy Ride” that USA music moguls have created to be her previosly Island-Girl life.
3. Hence, when we read/see such appalling evidence of SELF-DEBASEMENT as Rihanna “appearing” to hop back into Chris Brown’s arms a scant few days after her bruises and cuts had even begun to scab over, it was – literally, perhaps, MANAGEMENT TALKING! Giving ORDERS like: “Don’t Destroy our(…MONEY-MAKING!)Musical Pop PRINCE ‘n PRINCESS!”
I find it disgusting that anyone is pointing the finger at Rihanna. NOTHING she could have said and NO attitude can be to blame for what he did. It is hearsay, but even if what some are suggesting is true, that she argued with him because of messages on his phone and became jealous and angry; what words could she have used that justify what he did to her physically? NONE AT ALL. I would say the same if the situation was reversed too! His actions ALONE are to blame for his charges. As far as her not going through with the restraining order right away, unless you are in a similar situation or know someone that has been, you really can’t talk. Emotions, especially when speaking of emotional attachment, cloud your mind and do not lead you to think rationally as you normally would. Lastly, he pleaded guilty because he WAS guilty, and they did not want her to testify making the details of his horrible acts even more public. They KNEW they would lose and it would make him look worse.FIN
Chris Brown is nearly a baby in the music business and I believe that a man should not put his hands on a woman. Sometimes, not saying that is right, a woman can make a man go to the extreme. Being that his career could be over and he has yet to begin I feel sorry for both him and Rihanna, who lets not forget had allegations that the best rapper alive Jay Z had relations with her. Rihanna gets major endorsements for her supposedly black eye and major sympathy from everyone. Women do hit men, whose to say that Rihanna beats Chris all the time and he just had enough. Everybody makes mistakes T.I went to jail, Lil Wayne, Vick went to jail and more celebs, but they get praised for such acts. Even Micheal Jackson ( who music I love) had an overdose and the doctor get blamed because Jackson had money and wanted drugs that his doctor advised him to not have. Look at Whitney and Bobby (voices of angels)were on hard cocaine and crack but they get tributes. James Brown on heavy drugs and he gets tributes as well. All time theft and drug addict ELVIS get a whole damn street named after him, hotels and more. Chris is just a baby in the game and life yet he gets all this hatred. You all should be sick with yourselves for such comments. Obviously what happened did not harm Rihanna enough for she was caught with him just a short amount of days after the allegations. I truly do not know what happened but whatever happened I will always be a fan of Christopher Brown and Rihanna. They are just two kids that got beside themselves.
