Katie Holmes will perform in a "Broadway does Hollywood" number on the August 6 season finale of Fox's So You Think You Can Dance, E! News reports. A source tells E! she dons a hat, a leotard, and tights for a rendition of Judy Garland's "Get Happy," choreographed by Tyce Diorio and directed by Nigel Lythgoe.

Critics and audiences loved her on Eli Stone and Broadway. Broadway’s economy was so great when Katie was around. I saw her years back with Will Ferell hosting SNL on NBC. She’s a good singer and her tap dancing was superb.

She was really good in ‘Pieces of April’,'Thank you for Smoking’,unforgettable and yummy on ‘The Gift’ and hands miles better than Gyllenhaal in ‘TDK’. I had no idea she can sing and dance so this will be interesting!
Holmes is hot and talented to boot and you all know it. She has long yummy legs.
@ Tim – Katie just finished another indie film,she had meetings with Disney,Dreamworks and will soon film a Miramax movie with DelTorro in Australia. Not many actors show versatility in tv,bigscreen,indie,blockbusters,Broadway. All this screams gutsy and ambitious.Top of that she’s having fun and fulfilling all her childhood dreams especially musicals and Broadway.
