Why haven’t the stories only covered Susan’s absences? I’ll tell you why. We were made (or manipulated) to believe that Susan was the next best thing to sliced bread. She was a musical genius—the next Barbra or Mariah or Whitney. We were all spoon-fed this crap for a couple of weeks via EW, YouTube, etc., and Susan basked in the glory of it all. Now that she and her handlers are discovering the ugly shows up as much under the stage lighting as the good, they’re pulling that tried-and-true adage: “Just leave me alone!” Well, she wanted the spotlight, and now she’s got it, and if she wants to keep it—she’ll find a way to make do. Period.

Well, I don’t know what’s an English tabloid and what’s not.

It was well known from the git-go that Susan may not be able to (for whatever reason-and it’s HER business) perform at all of the venues on the tour. So why the amazement and criticism when she can’t?? From what I can perceive sitting here in MO, USA, Susan is sharing her beautiful voice with us as often as she can and still give a quality and heartfelt performance. What more can we possibly ask of her? And as for the media, press, and tabloids–BAH on all of them. They are vultures and Susan is their vulnerable prey. Susan, ignore them. And ignore all of us who are being judgmental.
To Jeff W: your comment that Susan is displaying signs of Borderline Personality Disorder are beyond ridiculous and show that you aren’t even aware of what this illness entails. I suggest you google it and find out what it means, because it’s obvious you don’t. As many have said, with Susan coming from a quiet, normal background and suddenly thrust into the glare of the spotlight, who wouldn’t have panic attacks etc? Some of the biggest stars in the world have often commented that they have panic attacks before they step out on stage to perform, and these are EXPERIENCED stars well used to the never-ending glare of the limelight/paparazzi. Give Susan a break: so many people can’t handle the pressures of stardom. Look at the extremely secluded lives led by John Deacon, Prince, George Harrison (god rest his soul), Michael Jackon etc, if it was so easy they wouldn’t live in seclusion. So if these superstars can’t handle the pressures of public scrutiny, how can we expect Susan to?
