The second-place finisher of Britain's Got Talent canceled her Thursday performance in Liverpool. It was the second time she'd missed a show on the BGT tour; she failed to appear onstage last weekend in Manchester. "She was feeling tired and she decided not to perform," said a rep for Boyle, according to People.com. In the wake of Boyle's recent hospitalization from exhaustion, her camp may decide to cancel with the tour promoters. The tour is slated to conclude July 5.

Is this reminding anyone of whats-her-name who finished second to Taylor Hicks?
Susan Boyle obviously struggles with mental illness, which is why she is having so much difficulty right now. Her flip outs, panic attacks, etc suggest borderline personality features.
Wow, Susan is shaping up to be a great entertainer. A veritable workhorse. Look for her already-a-smash-hit album to be recorded and released soon!

Other performers are skipping shows, but that doesn’t make the news. Give Susan a break!
The BGT live tour schedule is grueling. The performers must travel from city to city, do all sorts of preparatory work that doesn’t meet the eye such as spend time with hairdressers and makeup artists, perform, etc. The schedule would be tiring for anyone. I would want to take some time off to rest too.
I’d hoped Susan could “hit the ground running” but she obviously has limitations. I can imagine there is a lot of stress to put on a show (hadn’t thought of that before), so maybe it would be better for her to cut a CD – it could be done a track at a time as she’s able and fans all over could enjoy it. Best of luck to her.
I agree, why isn’t it being reported when the other acts don’t perform?
As for only knowing 2 songs, they’re all doing the same act that they did on BGT. ALL OF THEM. They’re told what to do.
Her whole problem is that people just won’t leave her alone. I’d be flipping out too.
She is throwing away any chance she had for a singing career. no promoter is going to want anything to do with her – she can’t be trusted to meet her obligations. She can’t handle performing 2 songs in a night. Sad.
She has quite a bit of stylistic range, actually. Check out the “Cry me a river” recording that’s been on the web. And frankly, I’d freak out too if I were getting mobbed every time I stepped outdoors. Nice voice but very, very little performance experience.
Every tour performance she’s given has been magnificent, but the intense audience response has been that of a rock concert–screaming, light-waving, standing ovations. The amount of adrenaline generated has got to be keeping her awake into early morning. Sleep deprivation does make you tired.
Susan Boyle is a perfectionist. She won’t let herself go out there half-fried from exhaustion to do less than her best for her audiencs.
Excuse me, but what mental illness does Susan Boyle suffer from exactly? Does an incident at birth spell out a mental illness? Two months ago or so Susan was unknown today most of the world knows who Susan Boyle is. I wonder just how many of us could with stand this kind of sudden pressure to be perfect every time. As to singing the same song at every venue obviously the powers that be at Britains Got Talent have suggested she stick to the songs that made her famous.
She’s not a rock singer. She sings show tunes, ballads.. When this is over she’ll be able to choose where and what to sing..she’ll record her music – She won’t have to tour the country to make a very nice living doing what she loves to do – sing.
