Witherspoon signs up for 'Pharm Girl'

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal is developing the comedy Pharm Girl as a vehicle for Reese Witherspoon. The project, which is being scripted by Bad Santa co-writers Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, concerns a woman (Witherspoon) who uncovers unsettling truths about the pharmaceutical industry as she moves up the corporate ladder in a large drug company. Ficarra and Requa are in talks to direct the project, while Witherspoon is producing under her Type A shingle.
