Police chiefs in two neighboring Ohio towns are suspected of plotting a burglary at the home of the surrogate carrying Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s twins, according to People.com. Under investigation by the state’s Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation for attempting to obtain information that could be sold to a tabloid publication, both Bridgeport Police Chief Chad Dojack and Martins Ferry Police Chief Barry Carpenter remain on duty. Carpenter told a local Ohio news outlet, “I’m 100 percent innocent in this and my department is as well.” Broderick’s publicist tells People: "Matthew and Sarah Jessica have complete faith in the legal system….Because it's a criminal investigation, we will not be making any more comment. What I can say is the entire family looks forward to the healthy delivery of their daughters later on this summer."
