The Karate Kid reboot that begins filming next month in China with Jaden Smith, Jackie Chan, and Taraji P. Henson has hired screenwriter Steven Conrad to pen the script, reports THR's Risky Biz Blog. Conrad worked with Will Smith, father of Jaden and a producer on the film, on 2006's The Pursuit of Happyness. He also wrote the Nicolas Cage starrer The Weather Man.

please they are trying to make this kid a star. the worse thing about the day the earth stood still was that kid…. he sucks……….sorry and no one will ever take the place of pat…this movie will make 35 million at best…….
