No surprises here: The young-adult vampire phenomenon Twilight scored 12 nominations for the Teen Choice Awards, including actor and actress in a drama, and drama itself (up against Slumdog Millionaire, Angels and Demons, Obsessed, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button). The Disney franchise pic High School Musical 3 garnered 10 nominations, as did The CW's Gossip Girl. Miley Cyrus nabbed 10 nominations all by her lonesome, one more than the hosts of the show, the Jonas Brothers. The Teen Choice Awards will air Monday, Aug. 10, at 8 p.m. Eastern on Fox.

I thought the Teen Choice Awards already happened.
Doesn’t anybody else remember? Andy Samberg was the host. Eminem let some dude stick his butt in his face.

Andrea, Ceballos was being sarcastic. In fact, I was about to make the same sarcastic comment but he beat me to it. Seriously, the MTV Awards were hijacked by teen girls. The Teen Choice Awards is just going to be an exact repeat, I guarantee it.

Well, this is TEEN choice awards, so yes, it probably will be “hijacked” by teen girls, like it should be. These awards and MTV movie awards are fan-voted… with how popular Twilight is, they deserved their awards. It’s not like these are the Oscars!

Well utter crap it sounds like, so Im not watching it. Bunch of hormonal girls screaming over a pile of crap book that is so very one-dimensional. Its during August, I’ll go see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince at the theatre for the millionth time by then.
Can someone please explain to me how Michael Rosenbaum got nominated for best villain for Smallville when he wasn’t even on the show this season? Wasn’t Sam Witwer’s Doomsday the baddie this season. And Kristen Kruek for best actress while Allison Mack is still listed in the Sidekick category? Not right.
