An attorney for Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman is claiming the star is not wholly responsible for a car crash that left himself and a female passenger seriously injured, reports the Associated Press. The accident occurred last August in Mississippi not far from Freeman's residence. Earlier this year, the woman, Demaris Meyer, sued the star for medical expenses and other damages. According to the AP, court papers filed today on Freeman's behalf claim that even though the star was driving the vehicle, Meyer was partially to blame for the accident.
