People.com is reporting that American Idol champ Kris Allen says he's "flattered" and "thinks it's hilarious" that his roommate and fellow finalist, Adam Lambert, harbored a secret attraction to him throughout the show. In this week's issue of Rolling Stone, Lambert admits that he was so attracted to Allen it was "distracting."

Well, I’m glad he’s cool about it. No need to freak out over something innocent, it’d probably make him look bad if he did. And it would actually be more awkward if a female contestant said she had a crush on him, cause Kris is a married man, and that would probably make her suspicious…
By “her”, I mean his wife, she’d probably be a bit jealous, and that would be ugly…

I am sooooo happy that Kris didn’t react like a homophobic twit.
Guys should be flattered if other guys find them as attractive as girls do. It doesn’t mean you’re gay if you thank the guy for the compliment. Just kindly state that you ‘don’t swing that way,’ or whatever the current slang is.
Kris handled it wonderfully, and I hope this teaches some of the teens and tweens how to gracefully accept such a compliment.

I highly doubt Kris didn’t know Adam thinks he’s attractive. The guys are friends and Adam has probably told him that before.
I wanted Adam to win Idol because he was so very talented. I am still a big Adam Lambert fan, but I am liking Kris Allen more and more everytime I read an interview with him. He is so confident and secure with himself,is certainly not a homophobe, and I absolutely do not believe there is a ‘mean bone in his body’. His wife is so fortunate to have him for her very own. Kris is a true treasure. I’m glad he won now. He’s just terrific!
To those Kris fans who are moronic homophobes. Take a lesson in class. I’m no a fan of Kris’s music at all, but you cannot deny the fact that he is a class A gentleman. You cant blame adam anyway. Kris is hot.
Once again E.W. this is not news. Just another one of your Adam is gay and Kris is not jabs. Good for Kris but it would be so nice to see an article about Adam on here thats just about his career. After all Slezak we know you are gay, but i never see you write or talk about that.
