Controversy magnet Carrie Prejean has lost her Miss California crown, Fox News is reporting. The Miss USA contestant, who last month was allowed to keep her title by pageant owner Donald Trump after semi-nude photos of her surfaced, has been let go by pageant producers K2 Productions, who cited "contract violations" as the sole reason for the decision. TMZ reports that Trump fired her for failing to get clearance to do extracurricular activities. "I told Carrie she needed to get back to work and honor her contract with the Miss California Organization and I gave her the opportunity to do so," Trump concurred in the announcement of today's firing. "Unfortunately, it just doesn’t look like it is going to happen." Runner-up Tami Farrell will now take the place of Prejean, who recently substituted as anchor of Fox News Channel's morning show Fox & Friends.

Boo! The whole thing the left is yelling about is respecting people no matter what they believe…Tolerence, no? Well, that is not fair to punish her for what she believes! I don’t mean to imply I may or may not agree with her, but be fair! We all know this has nothing to do with her pictures.
Regardless of what she beleives about marriage she needs to live up to her contract and do the job she agreed to do for them.

CNN is reporting that it’s because of various contract violations including missing official pagent events that must have happened after they let her keep her title. This is not about punishing her for what she believes since they already gave her a free pass. In this case, apparently she kept violating her contract, so they let her go. I bet Shanna Mokler (sp?) is laughing her butt off right now.
She may or may not have been difficult, but the firing was a foregone conclusion from the moment she expressed her opinion that the word “marriage” should be reserved to describe what it has meant for millenia. Fascists do not tolerate not toeing the line.
I heard she wasn’t officially stripped of her crown. Similar to some of her photos in question, its removal from her body was simply due to the wind.

It clearly states that she did not honor her contract with the company that runs the pagent not because of her beliefs was why so lost her title. So get over the whole gay thing already. Find another bandwagon to jump on Caitlin.
Caitlin: You think that this has nothing to do with the pictures? I don’t agree with you. I support her right to voice her opinion, even if I don’t agree with it. But the facts remain that she violated terms of her contract multiple times. If she had kept the “controversy” to the opinion she voiced onstage, I would have totally supported her. But she stirs things up by claiming that she lost the crown because of her opinion then proceeds to violate her contract terms. First, she became the spokesperson for that organization, then it was discovered that she took several semi-nude photos which she never disclosed. She even claimed that the second set of pics were taken without her knowledge- even though she’s looking right at the camera.
These aren’t “trumped up” charges against her. (Excuse the pun.)
Carrie has successfully become the most famous beauty pageant contestant of all time, and for such a great cause. She is perhaps the most gorgeous contestant ever. I’m sure she has better things to do with her time than be controlled by a bunch of politically correct pageant officials. Your life is more valuable than that Carrie. You are a great role model. Keep up the battle for truth and right. Don’t let the deviants of the world who relish in sin and try to make it “normal” drag you down. You have done nothing but soar into stardom. She got fired because she violated her contract first by having semi-nude pictures, for which she got a pass from Trump, and for missing contractually obligated events, and for doing work not allowed.
If I just skipped going to work and was working for other firms at the same time, I would deserve to get fired.

Carrie Prejean is a bigot. She shares the view that Obama and many other politicians purported to have. It is bigotry born out of ignorance. A politicians’ bigotry is born out of the desire to get elected to office in this still bigoted nation. Of course, when the nation comes around, so will the politicians (if they want to get elected). So who knows what the politicians REALLY think? Carrie Prejean, on the other hand, is a true bigot. We know she thinks being gay is immoral, and wants to take rights away from them based on their sexual orientation. She is the poster child for the true problem, that people in this country can’t handle different sexual orientations (though gratuitous violence is widely acceptable).
Oh well. Beauty pageants are just another way to objectify women, so at least Carrie Prejean does not have to worry about doing that anymore.
Last time I checked she was from California which back in Nov. voted against same sex marriage so I’d would say she was just doing what her fellow Californians would do.

Of course Ms Prejean is wholly entitled to her opinion on what ever she thinks is right… however the Miss USA pageant isn’t the place to stand on a soapbox and be a spokes person for a politically charged organization, it’s just not. Maybe she should have waited until her reign was over before making such a decision.
She played this for every second of media time she could get. Who remembers who was Miss California last year, or even Miss USA? However, you’ll remember the great martyr persecuted for her beliefs (and a really sore loser).
Tim, I am not gay and I think her answer was bigoted. I also think that letting her get away with it and parlay her bigoted views into a stint on Fox and Friends is unfortunate to say the least. I don’t understand why you would accept her answer as anything other than bigoted. Then again I also don’t understand why you are gay. I decided long ago that whether I understand or not I have no place to judge, you are one of gods creatures and you were made the way you were made and should enjoy the same rights as the rest of us.

how did Obama come up in a conversation about a pagent queen who stopped going to her required events AFTER she was told she could keep her job? This firing has nothing to do with her beliefs or her pictures. Any other person would have gotten fired for skipping work, which is what she did. She got fired for that just like anyone else.
