Kacey did you read what you wrote? How can you make a point by saying you will do exactly what you accuse your ideological opponents of. I guess you also assume that all commenters who found Letterman’s “joke” crude and wrong, are Republicans. You’re not as open minded as you might like to think that you are. But of course, you’re not hearing this as you have your fingers in your ears. I do accept Letterman’s second apology, –but hey, we’ve got a slew of pretty screwed up people on even this blog who mindlessly support something that’s clearly wrong–it’s pretty simple. It was wrong. Hey–it was wrong. (and by the way–to another commenter, Miss Calif DID get fired because of her comment. Everyone knows that. For people who are think they are so smugly smart, some of you are pretty dumb.

how dare david letterman or anyone for that matter make fun of anything or anyone having to do with the republican party. HOW DARE YOU SIR! There is nothing funny about the republican party, and I am ashamed to be a democrat if we are capable of finding humor in people who preach abstinence and have young pregnant daughters. The longer the story is in the news, the more sexualized the daughters become. As a parent, I would not have dragged this story on like this. People make mistakes, accept the apology, resist opportuntistic political gains, and give the daughters some peace.

Do you people who are protesting David Lettemen have REAL lives? It amazes me just how much people are obsessed with the lives of celebrities that they fail to look at the important things in this world instead. Okay…Lettermen apologized and I for one think he was sincere about it. Go back in time and try to count how many times that all of the late night hosts told Sarah Palin jokes as well as jokes about the pregnant daughter. Did Gov. Palin make a big stink about this….no of course not…because she was already constantly in the news. I am sure that she was offended by what was said, but I am also confident that she is blowing this entire issue out of proportion because she is not really in the public eye as much now and this is one way to get some free publicity. I’m also confident that the people who set up this stupid website are the same people who are already campaigning to get Palin to run in 2012. I think she should run, as it will guarantee Obama 4 more years!!!
