So glad they are revamping. I totally took this show off my radar after the switch to the PFT format. I’m sure it was cheaper to do it that way- but it SUCKS! Bring back the old format!!!
what show are you people watching??? PFT is hilarious! if anything, he may have seemed more funny with the old format…but that’s ONLY b/c his jokes were surrounded by the drool of all those other lame comedians (not all of them, but most). in fact, if there’s ANY problem with PFT at all, it’s that his comedy is too intelligent for the masses (who are asses, by the way) and that, for me, is no problem at all. don’t change, paul…stay golden pony boy! –BT
p.s. I do have to agree, the sizzler sucks. always has. always will.
I agree that the old format was funnier (although I do like PFT) but both formats are WAY funnier than The Soup. Can’t wait for it to come back.
Since I don’t watch reality shows, this news means I don’t have to watch VH1 for the rest of the year! Thanks for the vacation, Viacom! Joel McHale is the last snark standing!
But really, I guess I’m in the minority in digging the PFT format, since the old BWE format had turned unspeakably weak by the time they made the changeup. The Chuck Nice version of the sizzler was always a thing of beauty, and watching Paul F. go bat-guano crazy over CUPCAKES!!!!! on the final episode (of 2009) has been the highlight of my TV weekend so far. Come back soon, three-piece suit man…
Nothing against PFT, but I also preferred the original and don’t understand why they changed it. I only watch The Soup now. I do remember the lengthy breaks the show took were another reason I quit watching. A 6 month hiatus? When has that ever worked? Bummer but maybe PFT will get something better.
I loved the show before they made the switch.. nothing against PFT but the show didn’t NEED a host. What made the show great was humor of all different kinds coming from all different people – not just one person whose mildly funny on his own.
