Tori Spelling to Jon and Kate Gosselin: 'This, too, shall pass'

Tori-spelling_l In an Extra interview that'll air tonight, Tori Spelling tells host Mario Lopez that she was a huge fan of Jon & Kate Plus 8 but now, "it seems to have gone to an odd place."

"I loved the fact that they were a normal family; they weren’t in Hollywood," says Spelling, who appeared on Extra with husband Dean McDermott to promote the fourth season of their Oxygen show, Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood. "It’s hard for me now to see them on the cover of People magazine…I was like, ‘Wow, I’m not watching a celebrity family on TV. I’m actually watching a real family, and I want to know what that’s like so I can relate to that.’ So now it’s gone to a whole different level, and I feel bad for them."

Spelling then offered some advice to the Gosselins: "I hope they’re prepared for what they are going through and just know that this too shall pass…Next week, it will be someone else on the cover and you can go about your life. Good luck to them.”

yeah, the gossip magazines will pass but guess what, you will still have 8 kids to take care of.

Yes, Tori, that was insightful. Just ignore the deeper, bigger issues and chalk it up to bad “p-people”. Ditzy woman Tori is.

It’ll be someone else on the cover next week? Hardly… Jon and Kate have been on the cover of every magazine for the past 6 weeks!

The ONLY thing I would accept from TORI is her daddy’s money. Not her advice.

Wow…This is a sad day indeed. I actually agree with Tori Spelling. OK, off to toss my cookies now!

I agree the show sucks now!

So SHE (Tori) can relate to that? A normal, non-Hollywood family?

  • chuck

It amazes me that people watch and actually care about these shows. One day in ten years Kate and Jon will look back and realize that they were just a couples of pawns that were used and then spit out by a cable TV network that ended there marriage. How pathetic!

Maybe Tori should concentrate on her mommy issues instead of worrying about Jon’s.

  • who?

that ugly mess needs to eat some chicken instead of worrying about other people’s crap.

This woman and her lame-ass freeloading gold-digging hubby will do anything to keep themselves in the limelight – Dean & Tori have a garage sale, Dean & Tori run an Inn, blah, blah, blah. The American appetite for mindless sh*t is truly mind-boggling. I knew D-Mc when he was parking cars for a living and couldn’t get an acting gig to save his soul. He was always on the lookout for a rich trophy wife and he hit the motherlode when he met little Tori. She found a father figure and he’s found a meal ticket. He must have have gone totally flaccid when he found out that Daddy Dearest left what amounts to cabfare for Tori in his Will. And don’t even get me started on that mother of hers — no wonder she’s so screwed up. Candi – what a headcase!

Tori—–Please speak to yuor mother when shes dead and gone you will have deep regrets.

  • Death becomes her

Wow – Tori Spelling sounding like the voice of reason?? WTF? The world is truly coming to an end. PS, Jon & Kate? Look HARD at how she handles her relationships before taking her advice.

Geo, that’s very touching but frankly the mother seems cold, detached and unfeeling. She gives me the chills.
You don’t automatically achieve untouchable “Virgin Mary” status just cause you’re a mother. You still have to be a human being.
