My Name Is Earl is in early negotiations to be picked up by basic cable network TBS, weeks after broadcast network NBC cancelled the Emmy-winning series after four seasons, according to The Hollywood Reporter. TBS already has a deal in place to air syndicated reruns of Earl starting this fall, but it is still uncertain if a deal for 13 new episodes will pan out, in part because it's unclear whether the show's stars would return under what would most likely have to be a far-tighter budget.

Oh please please TBS pick up My Name Is Earl!!! I was terribly disappointed when NBC decided to cancel it. I’m really hoping it gets saved by another network. This show deserves to still be on the air. It certainly has not yet run its course. There’s more stories left to tell and more items that Earl needs to check off his list. It at least deserves a proper send-off so at least give it one more season to wrap things up.
What the hell? FOX isn’t saving it??? Hope everyone is on board for this!
Somebody PLEASE save Earl!! NBC never did give it the respect it deserved…always cut off the last few moments and has yet to air the second half of the finale after three weeks….No Respect…BRING BACK EARL!!! NBC removed Leno to give us Conan! He already had his own lousy show. The network is already in last place; why are they getting rid of the shows that were worth watching? Makes no sense!
Please give it one season and tie up loose ends thats all we ask
NBC gave complete respect to this show. The first season it aired they had a huge advertising campaign. It got so much publicity it was consistently in the Top 25 most watched shows every week.
I actually thought this was one of the best seasons – loved the episode with Danny Glover. Everyone on the show should be proud.
Probably will not pan out — but I agree, wish it would just to wrap things up. Or just give us an hour wrap up ep. SOMETHING! I hate that it ended with a “to be continued.” SO WRONG!

The producers probably want to make 13 more episodes to reach the golden # of 101 which would be better for syndication purposes. I think they’ll settle for reduced salaries/production costs in order to reach 101 episodes. I for one want more of Earl; one of my favorite shows.
“NBC gave complete respect to this show.”
seriously? they hardly ever advertised it and constantly pre empted it for “special episodes of the office” and other crap
“The first season it aired they had a huge advertising campaign.”
yeah, that was the FIRST season. but then for some reason more ppl started to talk about the office instead of earl so nbc decided to start focusing on that instead. thus leaving earl fans to think they didnt care about the show
im serious i mean how can they just up and cancel it when they ended the 4th season with a cliffhanger??? at least have 1 more episode to wrap the loose ends up! somebody please save the show…
Amazing post, I did not thought reading this was going to be so amazing when I klicked at your link.
