Contrary to initial reports, R-rated comedy The Hangover topped Disney flick Up at the box-office this past weekend, according to Variety. Initial estimates put Hangover at $43.3 million but that has since been upgraded to $45 million due to stronger than expected business on Sunday. Meanwhile, Up's previous estimate of $44.3 million is now closer to $44.4 million.

You cannot dismiss the appeal of both Bradley Cooper and Pixar. Both are good movies. Go see them! Reviews here:

Wow, what a close weekend. I think both sides are really happy. WB for The Hangover surpassing expectations. On the other hand, I don’t think Pixar is bummed about this since UP held strong by losing only 35% from it’s opening, which puts it on the same track to 300 million as Nemo did years ago. It’s great to see that two great movies are doing well.
Well, another crappy Will Farrell movie!!! Maybe the public is finally waking up to the fact that Farrell has never made a decent movie, and is tired of wasting money on his unfunny $H-T! Go back to SNL, that’s the only place you were ever even moderately funny, Farrell!
