Fox picks up 'I Married a Stranger'

Tags:

Fox has picked up the pilot for the reality series I Married a Stranger, Variety reports. In the show, friends and family will eliminate potential suitors for a woman in her late 30s one by one. Variety quotes "insiders" who say that I Married a Stranger "isn't as loud" as previous Fox marriage reality shows like Married By America.

Great point, Paco. Heaven forbid my friends Bill and Matthew, who have been in a loving monogamous relationship for 37 years could get married, but these idiots can!

this is ridiculous. they won’t let my gay brother get married because of his sexual preference…but marrying a total stranger for tv ratings is ok???

Marrying a stranger for a TV show? I’m sure glad we voted to “save the sanctity of marriage” :[

Where are those Defense of Marriage bigots now in the face of this (which is far from the first) cynical attempt to saturate a “sacred” institution with scandelous intrigue in the name of ad revenue. This for damn sure wasn’t “traditional, biblical marriage” whatever the hell that meant to begin with.

This show is an insult to all who do not have the right to marry. Please do not watch.

Strange Marriage is strictly prohibited in the Bible. Simply put-God does not want Strangers to Marry. Prejean explains strange marriage as unbiblical and weird.

The Reindeer Strike is a great performance!

Yep, FOX is diving for the deck in their F-WTF with this one. FOX is saying “Arranged marriages are so strange and alien, Americans will watch it happen”. Wow, what an insult both to the cultures where it still happens and to the potential TV viewers of America. But, it seems they can’t help but try the crappiest ideas, remember this time last year it was Kid Town? Well folks, this is the management of FOX, the cheapest shows possible, both quality and monetarily, just to keep the channel on the air. Yet another time slot I don’t have to watch FOX. They should’ve renewed The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Who Wants To Marry a Millionaire, Kitchen Nightmares, Hell’s Kitchen, Moment of Truth, etc., this network has a history of putting lowest common denominator filth on tv. This is exactly why I watch little to nothing on that network. For those in praise of this disgusting network and its weekly bombardment of trash tv- enjoy! I couldn’t get up and go to church with a clear conscience each week knowing I watched that filthy network on a regular basis.
