Jack Nicholson is in negotiations to star in director James L. Brooks' upcoming (and untitled) romantic comedy, according to Variety. Nicholson would join a cast that already includes Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd, and Owen Wilson. Brooks previously guided Nicholson to two Academy Awards: a Best Supporting Actor win for 1983's Terms of Endearment, and a Best Actor Oscar for 1997's As Good as it Gets.
