Demetri Martin's 'Important Things' receives second season

Categories: News, Television

Comedy Central has ordered a second season of Important Things with Demetri Martin to premiere in early 2010. The sketch comedy series, which was the network's most-watched series premiere since Chappelle's Show, averaged 2.8 million total viewers its first season and ranked first in its time slot across all of television in the hard-to-reach Men 18-34 demographic. Martin will hit theaters in August's Taking Woodstock, directed by Ang Lee, and has been cast in Steven Soderbergh's upcoming adaptation of Moneyball.

Yes! I enjoyed Demetri Martin’s show from the beginning, so it’d be nice to hear more about him. He’s an awesome comedian, so it’s worth the wait.

never met one person who actually watched that show. so not funny. Such childish geek humor.

I actually though the show was gone forever when it vanished after four episodes.
He must have a great agent to get this show another season. And then to be in all those big budget but seriously terrible Hollywood movies.

I LOVE Demetri Martin ’s stand up but can’t stand this show. It was way to scripted. Will not be watching.

Demetri would get an idea for a skit and improvise it… so in fact, its unscripted. you fail

funny and witty show, so stupid people may not be so keen on it, and sadly stupid people are the majority
