Rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has signed on to star in the police drama Caught in the Crossfire, according to Variety. The movie, written and directed by first-timer Brian Miller, follows two homicide detectives who get tangled up in the corruption surrounding a gang-related murder. Jackson, who is exec producing the film through his Cheetah Vision Films banner, will play a gang member who becomes an informant. The rapper's production slate also includes an untitled drama directed by Benny Boom (Next Day Air) and a retelling of Jekyll and Hyde, starring Jackson and Forest Whitaker.
