Well California FINALLY gets one right in terms of murderous celebrities. AT least Nevada was able to nail OJ. Now if somebody could figure out a way to get Robert Blake.
Robert Blake served over a year in jail. I think that’s adequate punishment considering the circumstances. Bonnie Lee Bakely was a scam artist. If you make your living bilking men out of their money, don’t be surprised when one doesn’t take it lying down. If Blake was involved, he was wrong, but I would say six months in jail would have been punishment enough. He did double that, leave the poor man alone.
Ok she was a scam artist. But then divorce her and let the justice system handle it. Scam artists don’t get the death penalty. The “poor man” killed somebody and served a year in jail…she was a scam artist and he killed her. That is not equal justice.
As I said, if he was involved, he was wrong. I do not in any way condone what happened to Bonnie Lee Bakely. That being said, what happened to her was an occupational hazzard. She chose to scam people out of their money. When she felt the cold steel revolver against her temple, she shouldn’t have been surprised. If Blake was involved, then I think a year in jail is more than sufficient considering the “victim.”
