Could Megan Fox replace Angelina Jolie as the star of the Tomb Raider franchise? Terminator Salvation executive producer Dan Lin dropped a bombshell to about.com at the premiere of the new Christian Bale film, saying that he’s planning to reboot Lara Croft as an origin story. The two previous Tomb Raider films grossed more than $431 million combined, worldwide. This reboot would inevitably mean casting someone younger than Jolie, and that has lead to rampant fanboy speculation (read: panting, drooling) that Transformers beauty Fox, 23, might be at the top of the list to take on the role. Right now, though, it’s merely that: speculation. Lin tells EW.com that the script hasn’t been written — they’re just beginning the search for a writer — so casting discussions are, at least, months in the future. That said, Lin did add that it would be a "no brainer" to consider Fox for the role. For now, though, fanboys will just have to wait … and dream.

That is almost as bad as casting BEN AFFLECK in the next BOURNE movie was BOURNE himself! No!!!! Angelina will always be LARA CROFT to me!
I don’t know if she can act, but she has the look. If they’re going for a younger Lara, I guess that she’s as good a choice as any. I still think Angelina would be perfect, but the first 2 movies were so poorly written and put together that the franchise does need a “reboot” like they did with James Bond.
Did the producers see Wanted? Angelina can still bring it. The problem with the Tomb Raider movies wasn’t Jolie but the directors and scripts. Megan Fox has no presence. Keep AJ.
Its NOT rocket science. If I were the producer I would seriously consider her as a big part of the character is her good looks. IN case anyone needs glasses FOX is very good looking!

I will NOT see this movie if Megan Fox is Lara Croft. This girl’s biggest assets are on her chest and that’s about it. Her eyes are completely vacant. I like my women with something more than fake boobs. She should definately go to porn.
Isn’t Lara Croft supposed to be British? It was bad enough when Angelina did the accent… now we have this Megan “wannabe Angelina” Fox butchering the Queen’s English. This one is a DVD for me..if that.

I thought she already declined. And can’t they just get a British actress? ya know, from England, with a British accent just like the real Lara Croft. I’m sure they can find someone; the USA isn’t the only country with actors.
The first 2 Lara Croft’s were horrible movies. Why bother?
