'American Idol' vote may have been flawed

I don’t think it was a few dozen phones….from what I’ve heard 38 million votes came from Arkansas….
Title doesn’t mean that Kris will be more successful than Adams in the music market. Adams strong voice and better performance may attract more audiences later.
When it all settles down Adam will be a bigger star because he’s more talented.
“influence the vote” — didn’t Katy Perry influence the vote when she came out with a cape embroidered with Adam Lambert’s name? It’s a t.v. show. Please stop the state bashing and get over it.
I think the best solution here is to nullify the vote last week and just declare both as “co-winners” that way everybody’s happy.
A few dozen votes? No one said a few dozen votes. 1.1 % can be a thousand, 2 thousand, Lord knows how many if the numbers are big enough. And even AT&T has said 38 million votes did NOT come from AK. That is unsubstantiated. Regardless, both of them have a record deal, they both get their shot, it’s just Adam you’ll be reading about in the years to come. Say goodbye to Kris, sadly he’ll be forgotten by next season. If this was idol history’s biggest upset, then next year, more people than ever before will say “Who won last year?”
As long as the rules allow for multiple votes then why all the crying? voting should be limited to one vote per phone #.
WHO CARES!!! Won’t they both get recording contracts anyway. Hell, one Idol “loser” won an Academy Award. Move on people.
When Ryan says, “Vote as many times as you’d like,” then this “Questions remain as to whether power texting violates American Idol voting rules,” statement is total BS by the Times just trying to keep the Glamberts enraged (and delusionally clinging to the debunked 38 million votes stat).
Thanks for posting this info. This isn’t about Kris or Adam, this is about a CORPORATE SPONSOR freely helping one of the contestants. They need to either help both or, preferably, stay out of it. Lambert fans were paying extra to text vote, while some Kris fans got to do for free, sponsored by AT&T. Can’t people see this isn’t anti-Kris, pro-Adam or whatever, this is about hopefully bringing to light questionable, flawed AI voting. AI needs (but I’m sure won’t) to clean up their voting system. Limit the number of votes per line, etc.
Adam won the youg girls votes, his singing was great, but what I remember most is his high pitched whinning that would kill the song for me. He sang Zepplin great, ruinned Kiss,Ring of Fire, Born to be Wild.
EW can’t let anything go if it involves AI or Twilight. If you look at the home page the same poll question about Kara has been there for about a month.
Once again, this news comes too late. Move on. The true winner will emerge a year from now or so.

Comes as no surprise to me that the voting was flawed. Supposed non-existent voters from Arkansas voting (all 36 million beyond the real 3 million), problems with people trying to phone in and not getting through… gee, do ya think it was flawed? You bet! And yet, the real winner is Adam no matter what. He’s already tops in iTunes sales, something like 8 to 1 over Kris. And when Adam and Kris each make a record, guess which one will outsell? You bet’cha! Adam’s!!! He was robbed, folks. But he’ll come out way on top! You go, Adam!
Ok people, AK is not Arkansas for the last time. AR is the correct. I am sick of even tv stations like CNN showing AK as Arkansas. AK is Alaska people. Also Kris won because he was liked by more poeple. Get over it. They will both make it. They will just have different fan bases.
