Al Pacino to portray Dr. Jack Kevorkian in HBO film?

Al Pacino is in talks to play Dr. Jack Kevorkian in the upcoming HBO telepic You Don’t Know Jack, according to Variety. The film will be directed by Barry Levinson (Wag the Dog, What Just Happened) and written by Adam Mazer (Breach). Based on an authorized biography of the famed "suicide doctor" by his assistant Neal Nicol and his lifelong friend Harry Wylie, the movie will be about Kevorkian’s creation of the "Mercy Machine" and his role in helping his patients commit suicide.
