Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson’s 4-year-old daughter, Exodus, has died after an accident on an exercise treadmill at home in Phoenix, Ariz. A spokesperson for the Phoenix police released a statement confirming that she was pronounced dead at a hospital at 11:45 a.m. today. Exodus Tyson had been on life support after she was found yesterday by her 7-year-old brother with her neck on a cable. The family has issued a statement: "We are grateful for the tremendous outpouring of love and prayers from all over the world. There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus. We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal."

Very sad.
Sorry Mike for your tragic loss.
May your child rest in piece.
My heart goes out to Mike and his family. So Sad.
Very sad. No one deserves a loss like this.
This makes me so sad. I remember when Mike Tyson first came on the scene- he was a soft spoken, humble, talented young kid. The story about him and his first coach Cus Damato was so sweet- he was like a father to him and he took him under his wing. After he died and Don King got his hooks in him, things went downhill so fast it was tragic. My deepest sympathies to the Tyson family.
So sad for all, to lose your little baby like that. Prayers for the Tyson family (and anyone else who is feeling a loss).
This story makes me very, very sad. My prayers are certainly with you. R.I.P
The loss of a child is something no one should ever have to go trhrough. My prayers are with the family.
Am I the only one on the board wondering why this 4-year old was on a treadmill in the first place?? Really, they are much too small–why wasn’t she being watched? Why did she fall and no one knew until a wandering 7-year old found her?
I know it’s awful and tragic and sad, and yes I’m sorry for the family, but I can’t the only one secretly wondering these things.
Sara, are you fricken kidding me, how dare you point the accusing finger at these poor parents. These was a tragic accident, pure and simple, for God’s sake give these poor souls compassion and love, not your pathetic accusations.
Sara: Seriously? Do you have any children of your own? Have you ever been around a 4 year old? You can’t keep your eye on them 24/7, trust me. I have an autistic child and I do my best to know where he is in the house at all times, but it’s impossible. This was a tragic accident and it’s very insensitive to be asking those kinds of questions at a time like this. My heart goes out to the Tyson family, this is a loss that I can even begin to comprehend.
My prayers are with you and youre family.
ThAt Is VeRy Sa..Prayers to mike tysons family
What a terrible thing to happen to that little girl. RIP.
You are very much alone. This is very tragic. The last thing that is necessary is for people who have no idea what occurred to be pointing the finger and accusing them of neglect. If there were any reason to suspect such a thing, there are involved parties that are more than capable of investigating the situation. All they need from us are our condolences.
One can have compassion and wonder about supervision at the same time. Compassion’s all the family can use at this time because regret and self recrimination will abound without any help from us spectators.
Consider it a warning / reminder to anyone with kids around – it only takes a second for tragedy to occur.
It is hard to be vigilant 24/7 but all the justification/excuses in the world cannot undo a moment’s lapse.
