Actor Kevin Bacon tried to chase down a man who stole his Blackberry at a Manhattan subway station but couldn’t catch the thief, The New York Post reports. The perpetrator likely made off with a cache of Hollywood numbers at his disposal when he escaped the star’s chase at the 53rd Street and 7th Avenue stop.

6 degrees indeed….
kudos to kevin for running after him though. that would’ve been amusing to watch.
Bacon. Blueberries. Why am I suddenly in the mood for a visit to IHOP?
Rock Golf, I am ashamed of you! A man is the target of a crime! Robbed! And here you are making jokes at his expense!
But seriously, Kevin Grilled Chicken would have been lean enough to catch the perpetrator. And who knew swine flu hate crimes would extend to Mr. Footloose himself?
No one’s BlackBerry is worth risking their life for. That mugger could have had a knife or gun, turned around and used it on him. If you are that worried about your cell phone, you should get tracking and remote data delete software like Computrace Mobile – http://www.absolute.com/mobile
It’s okay, because I hear that Kevin Bacon knows a guy who knows a guy who knows the guy who mugged him.
