During a concert at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J., on Thursday, Bruce Springsteen announced that he plans on playing three shows at nearby Giants Stadium on Sept. 30 and Oct. 2 and 3, shortly before that arena is to be razed, Reuters reports.

In fact, despite his reputation as a populist performer, fans have complained that too few tickets were made available via Ticketmaster to this week’s series of Garden State shows, and that the bulk of the seats were set aside for promotions and people with connections.
